Font Accordion Book, 2025
iPhone, Paper, Japanese Craft Paper, Illustrator

For this project, I compiled an alphabet through photography. This work is an exploration of seeing: if we as an audience shift our gaze ever so slightly, what can we see around us that we take for granted?

I sourced images from my personal photolibrary, and as such this piece also functions as an archive. The letter “A” is a tower that I pictured at the Chihuly Museum in Seattle; the letter “V” a fountain from an outdoor plaza in Zlatibor, Serbia;  the “P” a knitting project I started and quickly abandoned.

These letters are imbued with memories, adding an element of the deeply personal to something as literally universal as language.

Here is a pdf of the Illustrator file, if you would like to take a closer look!
